Claude Code + AionUi

Pair Claude Code with AionUi for a graphical cowork layer: persistent threads, preview, and the option to run other CLI agents in parallel.

Claude Code vs Claude Cowork

Claude Cowork is a paid, macOS-only product. AionUi is free, open source, runs on Windows and Linux, and supports multiple models—not only Claude. See Claude Cowork vs AionUi and alternatives article.

Setup overview

  1. Install Claude Code on your machine (follow Anthropic’s docs).
  2. Install AionUi and open multi-agent settings.
  3. Let AionUi detect the CLI or add paths per the ACP setup wiki.
  4. Configure your Anthropic API key in LLM configuration if prompted.

Auth & billing

Claude Code consumes Anthropic capacity according to your plan. Token-heavy repos can burn context quickly—use focused sessions and trim attachments. If login expires, re-run the vendor CLI auth flow; AionUi surfaces the same errors the terminal would.

Claude Cowork vs AionUi + Claude Code

Claude Cowork is a polished single-vendor GUI; AionUi is an orchestration layer that can host Claude Code alongside other agents. If you need Windows/Linux or local models, the second pattern wins. See Claude Cowork vs AionUi.
