File Management

Use AionUi for smart file organization, batch renaming, and file merging. Full guide: Wiki: file-management.

Capabilities

  • File tree browsing + drag & drop – Browse like folders; drag and drop files or folders to import
  • Auto organize – AI identifies content and auto-classifies; keep folders tidy
  • Batch rename – One-click rename with patterns or natural language
  • File merging – Combine files efficiently

Workflow ideas

File management in AionUi works best when you give the model clear boundaries—for example “only touch ~/Projects/ClientX/incoming” or “rename screenshots by date prefix.” Large destructive operations deserve a dry run on a copy first.

  • After code generation – Collapse scaffold outputs into `src/`, `docs/`, and `artifacts/` folders the team agrees on.
  • After Office exports – Pair with Excel processing and preview so you verify contents before moving files.
  • Scheduled hygiene – Combine with scheduled tasks for weekly tidy-ups you describe once in natural language.

Safety notes

AionUi can move and merge files on disk. Maintain backups for important trees, and avoid running with elevated OS privileges unless you understand the blast radius. See local AI security for where metadata and chat history live.
